A little about me

I am passionate about my work and my work is my passion. I feel this is reflected in how hard I work and how important I feel it is to get the job done right and done with quality. Quality does not have to mean expensive either!

I have been lucky enough to have been exposed to a huge variety of industries during my career, but the one constant has always been my passion for people. People are the heart of every business, they are what can make your business more successful from your competition and having a safe, healthy, well trained and quality workforce is the key.

Born in Gisborne, I went to school at Kaiti Primary School, Gisborne Intermediate and Gisborne Girls’ High School before heading off to Wellington. I spent over 12 years based in Wellington with contracts in Auckland, Australia, Canada and the UK. I then spent a few years in the mighty Waikato before heading down to Timaru for a couple of years and then arriving back in Gisborne after 20 odd years away.

Having read Psychology with a minor in Rehabilitation my passion is with people - getting the best out of them and supporting not only an organisation to do this, but the person themselves.  I have had the honour of sitting on the Boards of two Not-For-Profits in the arena of Maternal Mental Health and have worked extensively in my career and voluntarily in the Mental Health Community.

I have extensive experience in HSE, HR, Recruitment and Risk and hold professional membership with the New Zealand Safety Council.  I am shamelessly a bit of a geek when it comes to keeping up with legislation, precedence and all current trends and ideas in these areas.

Give me a call or send me an email and we can talk about what your company needs and how I may help you. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
